The concern of many companies is how to implement a safe method for employees to return to work without changing their previous way of working or impacting on the office design.

Introduction

One of our customers, an Investment Banking Company based in Mayfair, London had numerous desk designs and configurations spread over 2 floors which required a bespoke solution to allow for their employees to be protected whilst maintaining easy verbal communication and clear visibility across their office floors.

The Challenge

To implement a range of glazing screen to suit each desk manufacturers design incorporating 3 sided clear toughened glass screens up to a head height level. The brief was to come up with different solutions to meet the strict safety requirements which didn’t look out of place if they were to remain a permanent feature within the office space.

The Result

After breaking down the requirement into 3 separate designs to suit each situation we installed 6mm and 10mm toughened glass screens which complimented the original design, maintained unobscured visibility throughout and protected each employee whilst sat or stood at their desk, taking into account the majority of offices had height adjustable desks. The systems also lent themselves to being removed at a later stage with minimal rectification to the existing desks through the ingenious use of base channels and desk clamp fittings.
