Post
Systems

The use of vertical posts in Domestic balustrades, staircases and balconies is more traditional and more widespread than other systems, especially when glass is not included.

Post Systems

However with the inclusion of glass you can create a stunning, contemporary features with the emphasis on the structure itself as well as the invisibility of the glass.

The option of vertical steel posts with toughened or laminated glass panels brings a contemporary look with the option of a matching handrail in steel or wood. This is a practical system for staircases and other Residential applications which do not warrant the cost of a channel system, whereby the glass thickness can be minimised and as such the cost reduced. You still benefit from having glass panels between the posts which can be fixed up tp 1.2m apart, affording optimum light and visibility with matching economy.

Another option for balconies and balustrades with the use of posts is that of tensioned cable, with eye bolts secured to the end posts and drilled holes to intermediates with 4 or 6mm diameter stainless steel cables tensioned in between. Horizontal cables give an architectural look and feel fitting in well with coastal and riverside projects.

For Juliet balconies we offer purpose designed systems with posts or rails to the top and bottom or to each side of the glass panel. The glass is either housed within the post or channel or secured with clamps which are bolted or welded to the sides of each post.

With all systems, customizable elements such as round or square tube and hand rails and satin or polished steel finishes allow you to customise and enhance the appearance. Wooden handrails are another option if you want a mix of materials adding an element of warmth to an otherwise clean but cold aesthetic.
